About
Expression

Still Tyger was born out of a shared desire of two long-time friends to become engrossed in a spiritually authentic life, one that creates a bridge from inner truth to the outer world. We are driven by a collective hope to practice faith guided by the light of contemplative traditions, building upon our foundation of friendship and shared joy.

“Tyger Tyger burning bright,

In the forests of the night:

What immortal hand or eye,

Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?”

Excerpt from “The Tyger” by William Blake

The name comes from the practice of being still and recognizing God in those still, quiet moments. These still moments, that might seem weak at first, have led us to unearth a profound strength. It’s a strength that marvels in the mundane, that carries a certain amount of daring, a certain amount of authenticity, and can only be found by finding the Creator in ourselves, a theme beautifully captured by William Blake’s poem, “The Tyger”.

This project is a space for writers, thinkers, and everyday people to share vulnerably their personal experiences and questions about life—an open invitation for all to engage in introspection and mindfulness in our individual lives. Here, stories are exchanged with honesty, reflections are welcomed without judgment, and the act of contemplation is celebrated as a path toward understanding ourselves and others. Through the thoughtful weaving of voices and perspectives, we cultivate a space where sincerity and depth are embraced, encouraging a shared journey toward greater awareness and connection.

Stillness, we learned, is not inaction but the bravest action of all. Be still with us, as we learn to know God better.
