Society wants everything from us that is not us.
It wants our money, it wants our time, it wants our fear, it wants our conformity.
It wants us to chase it, to play an 80-year game of catch up, to constantly be moving towards a goal line that keeps moving further away.
It wants striving, callousness, and blind ambition.
It wants everything from us that is not us.
We had to learn to let the old be new.
Daring an ancient path to be relevant still.
Daring to be still.
Daring to be vulnerable.
Daring to be rooted, loving, and sure.
Daring to delight in the fleeting moments that echo through eternity.
Daring to be wrong, to mess up, to aim and miss and aim again.
Daring to be conscious of that immortal hand that framed our fearful symmetry.
Daring to be who we were made to be.
